Who is a fan of Chex mix?  Pretty much everyone loves Chex mix, but lets be honest the last things left in the bowl are the pretzels, nuts, and bread….am I right?  So here is the answer to that problem, Chex only Chex mix.  My kids always love getting a bag of Chex mix, but I was always left with the boring stuff, which is why I decided to start making my way, that way I know it will get eaten by everyone fairly.  Chex mix is great anytime to snack on not only during the holidays, which is when it is the most popular.  We love to eat it when we sit down for a movie.  Also if you shop at Costco they sell all three types of Chex in one box, which is pretty convenient, and also its a great price.  Hope you give my Chex only Chex mix a try.

Ingredients you will need…

  • 4 cups corn chex
  • 4 cups rice chex
  • 4 cups wheat chex
  • 6 Tablespoons butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons seasoning salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1.)  Preheat oven to 250 degrees

2.)  Measure out Chex and place in a large bowl. Set aside.

3.)  Place butter in a microwavable dish, heat for about 40 seconds, or until fully melted.

4.)  Add Worcestershire sauce, seasoning salt, garlic powder, onion powder to the melted butter and mix together with a fork.

5.)  Drizzle butter mixture over Chex, and mix with hands for 3 minutes to make sure it is evenly spread (otherwise you will get pieces that are going to be super salty).

6.)  Spread the Chex onto a baking sheet, and place in a 250 degree oven for 40 minutes, then they will be dried and crispy.  Store in a sealed container and enjoy.
