This pizza dough is amazing for those of you who are into thin crust pizza. It has a great crunch and is super easy to make. In my family we like to go out for pizza on Saturday nights after the sun goes down, but after making this dough with your favorite topping I was not interested in any other pizza. So now I would much rather make my own pizza at home and invite everyone over.  The other great thing about this dough is you can make it thicker and it turns out great too.  I hope it is as popular with your families like it is mine 🙂

Ingredients you will need…

  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 2 teaspoons yeast
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 4 cups flour

1.) Preheat your oven to 500 degrees F. Prepare ingredients.

2.)  In a bowl with a hook attachment, add 1 1/3 cup of lukewarm water

3.)  Sprinkle yeast on top and let sit for about 5 minutes

4.)  Add in salt sugar, and oil, then mix so the salt and sugar dissolve

5.)  Add in the 4 cups of flour all at once and start with mixer on low speed, so flour does not go flying everywhere

6.)  Once flour is incorporated, turn mixer on a little faster, and mix for 3-5 minutes until the sides of the bowl are clean and dough holds together

7.)  Remove dough from bowl and knead for a few minutes, form dough into a ball and return to bowl. Cover and let rise for at least 1 hour and up to 3 hours

8.)  Once the dough has risen to double its size remove from bowl onto a floured surface and separate into three pieces. Take one of those three to work with and hid the other two under a towel so they don’t dry.

9.)  Roll out the pizza dough to the thickness of your liking, then take a fork and poke holes all over the dough so you don’t get bubbles when it cooks.

10.)  Place dough on a wire rack and assemble pizza with toppings of your choice.

11.)  Insert pizza into the oven and cook for 10-13 minutes until crust is light brown and crispy.
